
Wendy J. Marshall MD, FACS - Medical Director
Dr. Marshall's role as Medical Director involves the overall supervision and management of the patient care AeroCare's flight teams deliver on each and every mission. Her duties include development of Standing Medical Orders, approving flight crew members, overseeing development of policy and procedures, quality assurance, continuing education, pre-flight medical consults, and on-line medical control. Dr. Marshall has extensive aeromedical experience including her role as the founding Medical Director of LifeStar, an EMS helicopter program based at Loyola Medical Center in suburban Chicago. In addition, Dr. Marshall is a board certified Trauma Surgeon and is the Medical Director of the Level 1 Trauma Center at Saint James Hospital and Health Center.
Joseph D. Cece - Program Director & CEO
Joe's primary role is to oversee all day to day operations of AeroCare working closely with all of AeroCare's Senior Management Team members to form a cohesive group focusing on common goals such as safety and the delivery of high quality healthcare. Joe's experience of over 20 years of EMS (Emergency Medical Services) started in the early eighties when he became a 911 paramedic. In 1990 Joe became an entrepeneur by purchasing a private ground ambulance which he successfully grew and later sold to a publicly traded national provider as the ground ambulance industry began consolidation. Joe's love of flying/aircraft coupled with his expertise in EMS/medicine and business savvy afforded him the opportunity to fill a niche by venturing into the air ambulance market and personally founding AeroCare. In it's thirteenth year of operation, AeroCare has shown continued strong growth over the tenure, becoming a multi-base operation, gaining CAMTS status and a nationally recognized provider of domestic and international high quality air ambulance services.
Becky Pusateri, RN, MSN - Director Clinical Operations & Compliance
Becky is a veteran AeroCare Flight Nurse who works with Dr. Marshall to oversee the clinical operations for AeroCare's flight program. As a member of the Senior Medical Management team, her daily duties include overseeing all regulatory compliance, risk management, crew education and quality assurance. Additionally, Becky conducts pre-flight consults and informs our Medical Director of patient condition pre-flight, ensuring the highest level of safety and patient care with each and every transport conducted. Becky is well prepared for this position with extensive clinical and administrative healthcare experience. A seasoned emergency room nurse, Becky also has held several executive level management positions with major HMO providers and medical suppliers. Her tenacity and ability to understand the requirements of key regulating agenices was the driving force in AeroCare achieving full accreditation with the Commision on Accreditation of Medical Transport Services (CAMTS), the highest honor in the fixed-wing air ambulance arena. Becky stays updated within the industry by serving on both the AAMS fixed-wing special interest group committee and as co-chair of the ASTNA fixed wing special interest group. Additionally, Becky has spoken on a national level related to a myriad of fixed wing topics and is actively involved in educating nurses, paramedics and respiratory therapists on critical care and the effects of fixed wing transport. David C. Schult, Sr. - National Director of Sales
As a key senior manager of AeroCare, David has had a long standing career in EMS and aeromedicine starting with his early career aspirations in the U.S. Coast Guard. David’s years of EMS spanned the Eastern and Southeastern portion of the United States down into the sunny State of Florida where he began his now 20+ year aeromedical career. Operating in both hospital based operations as well as large national based companies has made it easy for David to transition into AeroCare’s domestic and international venue. His compassion for patient’s and their families as well as his innate ability to understand and anticipate customer needs coupled with his strong knowledge base has proven to be an invaluable asset to AeroCare’s success.
Anthony J. LaRocco - Director of National Marketing & SOG Program Director
Anthony has been with AeroCare since it's inception and focuses on AeroCare's national marketing efforts as well as overseeing the Special Operations Group (SOG) program, an organ procurement specialty transport division of AeroCare. Currently contracted with several major transplant facilities within Illinois, Wisconsin and Arizona, SOG's mission is to provide air and ground options for organ procurement and transport, making a difference in saving thousands of lives annually. Additionally, Anthony is the driving force in increasing AeroCare's market-share with hospitals, rotor-wing programs, ground programs, managed care case managers, and other users requiring fixed-wing air ambulance services. Anthony has extensive experience in the medical transport business coming from American Medical Response (AMR), a publicly traded leader in the ground ambulance industry, as a senior marketing executive. Anthony also specializes in providing educational in-services to case managers and hospital social workers throughout AeroCare's market regarding the differences in patient transportation, aircraft versus ground selection and the importance of making an informed decision and choosing an appropriate provider when it comes to transporting a patient. Renee Kenney - Chief Flight Coordinator/International Coordinator
As the gatekeeper for our Communication Center Renee shoulder’s the responsibility of ensuring each aircraft and ground vehicle dispatched worldwide is at the right place at the right time! Her extensive experience in the medical field coupled with previous aviation dispatch experience and the ability to juggle a number of tasks simultaneously make her the perfect person for this large task! Renee and her crew work diligently 24 hours a day 365 days a year to ensure our employees conducting transports have the appropriate information and the appropriate tools to get the job done while they are out on the road. Additionally, Renee is AeroCare’s International Coordinator which requires here to interact with a multitude of different cultures and issues that may present when repatriating patients either to or from an international venue. Her consistent nature and tenacity make her the perfect person to keep things moving smoothly and ensure patients and organ teams as well as organs get to where they need to be in a timely fashion.
Kristopher Werth - Director of Maintenance/R&M Aviation
Kris has been an AP/IA certified aircraft mechanic for over fifteen years with extensive maintenance and systems experience on equipment ranging from Cessna 150 to Canadair CRJ700 with special expertise on mid size corporate turboprops and jets. Prior to coming to work for R&M Aviation/AeroCare, Kris worked as Crew Chief conducting general maintenance on a myriad of aircraft including, but not limited to King Air turboprops, Cessna Citation’s and Lear jets, Kris also was responsible for major structural repair and modifications for many of the aircraft. As a Flight Safety trained mechanic, Kris also has held his pilot’s license for over 25 years and has extensive experience in developing and operating FAA 135 air carrier certificate operations and maintenance safety. Kris’ vast experience and personal demeanor lend to his participation in Safety & Survival Training for AeroCare crew as well as other companies AeroCare conducts business with on a daily basis. His continued participation in the Safety and Risk Management Committee as well as his “go the extra mile” mentality make him a team player who is highly respected in the company as well as the aeromedical industry.
Patrick Ludwig - Chief Pilot/R&M Aviation
With over 5,000 flight hours and 24 years of safe flying experience Pat is a hands-on Chief Pilot who has been with R&M Aviation/AeroCare for over five years and played a role in developing much of the current operational procedures in place today. In his role Pat is responsible for overseeing R&M Aviation’s pilot staff, which includes day to day training and oversight of risk management to ensure each flight we conduct adheres to FAA regulations as well as recommended CAMTS guidelines to maintain the highest standard of safety. Pat is an ATP rated pilot as well as a certified flight instructor and the company Check Airman. In his role, Pat requires and conducts flight checks on our entire pilot staff bi-annually in order to maintain their top-level performance and continued Vision Zero awareness, this training is akin to many top airline training programs. On an annual basis Pat along with all of our other pilots are required to conduct complete recurrent training on all AeroCare aircraft. Pat’s participation in AeroCare’s Safety & Risk Management Committee as well as continued attendance at nationally accredited safety seminars provides him the opportunity to bring back valuable information and continually update the company’s team of pilots.
