Ambulance Service

AeroCare’s domestic air ambulance service provides expert medevac transportation medical flights to and from anywhere in the United States. Strategically located in Illinois and Florida, the quick and effective deployment of our medical aircraft can take us to most locations in the United States within very limited timeframes. This strategic placement of our bases assists in the repositioning of aircraft, which in turn makes us cost-competitive and provides timely service parameters.

Services include fixed-wing air ambulances, medevac flights, medivac flights and air medical transports. We use a fleet of fast, safe and comfortable Learjet air ambulances to transport patients. Each jet is configured like a "Flying ICU." This allows our flight nurses and flight medics to able to handle any type of patient at 40,000 feet. We provide bedside-to-bedside service for our patients. This means a two-person medical team is with the patient during every segment of the medical transport. We provide emergency air medical evacuation service (medevac, medivac). Our Aeromedical Case Managers are extremely experienced in handling all the necessary arrangements of international travel, from working with foreign consulates and customs, arranging ground transportation to and from facilities, and in some instances assisting with bed placement.

With thousands of air ambulance flights completed, we have built strong professional relationships with the private sector, government and US military institutions, as well as with case managers and social workers, insurance providers, international assistance companies, and patients’ families. Our medical aircraft are equipped with state of the art avionics allowing us to fly worldwide, regularly completing air ambulance flights to the Caribbean, South America, Central America, Canada, etc. To learn more, call us at 800-823-1911.

Medical Escort

For patients that are in stable condition, but still require medical oversight, AeroCare offers medical escort services as a safe and cost-effective alternative to private air ambulance. Our Medical Management team works hand-in-hand with the Aeromedical Case Manger to perform a medical assessment and review of the patient condition prior to offering this option. Because there are many components and moving parts to this option, AeroCare’s Case Manager works to arrange all aspects of the transport up to and including purchasing airline tickets, ground ambulance/transport on each end and filing the necessary paperwork required by commercial airline.

In the instance of commercial medical escort transports, the patient is accompanied by one of our regular medical staff (RN, EMT-P, RT, etc.) who will tend to their medical needs and other personal needs during their journey. The medical crewmember(s) will also assist with the boarding, de-planing, security clearance, and any other issues related to travel. Once the trip is complete, the medical escort will accompany the patient to the receiving facility, and provide their post-flight report to ensure a transparent transition for the patient.
